30X36 acrylic painting on stretched canvas
This original painting was created using professional archival artist materials only. Paintings are unframed unless otherwise specified. This painting on stretched canvas has edges painted black right around to the back for a professional finish. It is wired and ready to hang. Due to differences in device screens, colour of art may vary from what you see on your screen.
This old relic sat by the Alaska Highway in the North Peace Region of BC, Canada. The truck told a story and asked questions. What was life like when the truck was new? What kind of person or family owned the truck? Who drove it? What happened to it? How long had it sat there?
I have been told it is a 1949 Ford, but, but I don't know a lot about vehicles. I'm a nostalgic soul though! I feel drawn to anything that tells a story of the past. I had great fun painting the pickup truck. I hope someone will enjoy the painting just as much as I enjoyed painting it.
HISTORY/AWARDS: Winner of People's Choice Award in Federation of Canadian Artists exhibition, "Peace Connections" AND Honourable Mention Award at Peace Liard Regional Juried Art Exhibit, both at Peace Gallery North, Fort St. John, BC Canada.
On a budget? Fine quality prints are available as well.
