14X18" acrylic painting on cradled birchwood panel
This original painting was created using professional archival artist materials only. It is unframed. The edges and backs of the cradle boards are neatly painted black for a professional finish. It is wired and ready to hang. Due to differences in device screens, colour of art may vary from what you see on your screen.
I saw this old beauty in Williams Lake, Canada. The truck told a story and asked me questions. Who owned the truck ? What was life like back then? Was it somebody's dream to proudly restore and drive it again? What happened? Why was an old beauty like this sitting under an tree and obviously not driven for a long time?
My brother, who has been vehicle nut all his life, thinks the truck may be an early 1950's Dodge or International. I don't know a lot about vehicles, but I am a nostalgic soul. I feel drawn to anything that can tell a story of the past. I had great fun painting the pickup truck. I hope someone can enjoy the painting just as much as I enjoyed painting it.
On a budget? Fine quality prints are available as well.
