12X9" linocut print on Japanese ornamental paper

This original hand pulled linocut print is number 1 in a limited edition of only two. It is the only one on this particular colour and type of paper. It was created using professional artist materials only. Due to the nature of the Japanese ornamental paper, this print has a beautiful varied ink tone, adding to it's character and originality. It is unframed.

I LOVE crows and ravens. They are super intelligent and have SO much character. This one is singing a song! I am a life-long bird lover. It was a joy creating this fun expressive print! I hope someone else loves it as much as I do.

This is a great way to turn favourite drawings into original prints! Here’s how I create a single colour linocut print:

1. I draw a design and carve it into a lino plate
2. I ink up a brayer and roll the ink onto the plate
3. I centre art paper over the inked plate
4. I run it through a printmaking press
5. I pull off the paper and, voila! A print appears!
